Week of September 4th
Welcome to the 2017/2018 school year! We started our first week by learning about friendship. We read the books Stick and Stone by Beth Ferry, and You Will Be My Friend by Peter Brown. We sang many songs including 'The More We Get Together' and 'Old Shoes, New Shoes'.
Once a week, throughout the year, each child will get a turn to take home a bag with the You Will Be My Friend book, a notebook, and a bear stuffed animal. There is a letter in the bag explaining that they can take 'Lucy' on adventures throughout the weekend, as simple as having a meal with 'Lucy' to taking her along on your weekend outings. Please try to take at least one picture documenting your adventures with 'Lucy' and put it in the notebook. The following Monday please bring the bag back to school so your child can share their adventures with 'Lucy'.
