Week of September 11th

We learned a color song:

"Red and orange, green and blue, shiny yellow purple too. Those are the colors of the rainbow that we know. Red and orange, green and blue, shiny yellow purple too".

We read several books about colors including:

Butterfly Butterfly, a book of colors by Peter Horacek

The Game of Red, Yellow, and Blue by Herve Tullet

The children are becoming very interested in learning each other's names and recognizing the letters in their own names. We learned several name recognition songs including "Willaby Wallaby Woo" (a name rhyming song) and "BINGO" using the letter's of each child's name in place of B-I-N-G-O.
